Fortunately I was on the road yesterday and missed the game.   A friend texted me saying "Good start for TN".  Looking at the box score tells the tale.

130 yards rushing.   After that first run of 75 yds, the team rushed 24 times for 55 yards.  That's 2.3 yds/rush.  UGA racked up 472 yards offense to the Vols' 277 yds.  Time of Possession 40:58 to 19:02.

Pathetic.

I didn't have to watch the game to know that Georgia dominated the LOS on both sides of the ball just as Mizzou did.

So this isn't all Joe Milton's fault.  There is no leadership on this team.

I'd like to see Milton play the first half against Vandy, and let Nico play the 2nd half.

The announcers made a good point about why not to play Nico yesterday I thought, to preserve his RS status.  Though, of course, if he's all world as a RS sophomore, he'll be leaving.  Milton has a great arm obviously but lacks some vision and of course touch.  And no, it wasn't all his fault.  The Vols were playing with backup backups in several positions.

Tennessee is a shell of a team that started the season. Due to injuries the Vols were missing 3 starting DB's, 2 starting LB's, 2 starting linemen . In many cases the the back ups were 3rd stringers. Milton didn't have a great game but his revievers dropped 3-4 passes dropped in their hands. This was a total team loss. We simply don't have the depth needed to compete with UGA
Now for the fun part....going ice fishing in Minnesota after Chistmas with three UGA  alums.
That should be fun.

We have lost four of the best receivers that we had from last year - two to the NFL and two to injury.
And I'm not sold on the new OC.
Defense banged up as well with loss of our best LB and DB for the season.
We're not nearly as deep as Georgia who can just plug and play if someone gets injured.

True, and something we should consider.

Have fun fishing.

Was surprised Fla gave Mizzou the game they did last night.

They did not want to play Nico yesterday as they were trying to preserve his red shirt. He can play next week and in the bowl game

We're a different team with Bru, Thornton, our DBs, etc.  We still lose at Bama, and probably Mizzou and UGA... and we had our full complement against UF, and still lost...
but we don't look as bad.
And honestly -- we don't beat anybody good with Joe.  He just ain't got it.  Even Clemson was breaking in a freshman QB.  To be fair:  he's a terrible fit for Josh's system.  But he's like a pretty girl.  You just can't leave her alone.  "if he ever plays up to his potential...".  And then he flashes it, with that howitzer -- and it's like the pretty girl giving you a "come on" wink...
I quit watching pretty soon after the refs robbed us of the INT.  The tickiest holding call in history -- happens on nearly every play.  "Here we go again...".  No way the SEC lets UGA get beat by us, at this point...
I'd check the damage.  Every time I saw us with the ball, Joe's either:  hitting his own lineman in the head with the ball.  Or missing guys running wide open in space.  Or throwing it too high, too hard, when you NEED that completion.  Or overthrowing guys running wide open on fly patterns by five yards.  Or, if they only have a half step, throwing it short -- assuring a pass break up.
It's pretty remarkable.  Has there ever been a wider gap between potential and performance, than we see with Joe?  The only thing you can rely on with him is his unreliability.
Next year will be better.  If Nico is as good as advertised.  You gotta score points.  A lot of 'em.  17 in two games won't cut it.  QB is HUGE.

Ga lost a few players during the game.

Didn't miss a beat.

We are still not very deep.

Got beat on both lines yesterday

Last year the NCAA granted a one-year waver to the rule that bowl games counted and they are expected to do so again for this season, but there has not been an announcement yet.

I repeated what the announcers said and what some news agencies have reported, DS.

One of my sources says that since Heupel recruited Milton out of hs and then brought him here Heupel is trying to get him into the nfl. Nico has been ready and played at a hs that is probably more advance that all but the top 30 dI programs. Nico has been ready

The Florida game changed my mind. I went from very optimistic to a realist
