After learning to respect the Vandy QB on the first drive, the Texas defense didn't give up much the rest of the way. Vandy got 17 points on like 90 yards of offense. They definitely bunched their fortunes into groups.
The Texas offensive line needs to start the bye week with name tags. Get together over donuts or something and introduce themselves to each other. This isn't the sale OL we started the season with, but still it is. They seem to be playing an unfamiliar game with no concentration on fundamentals. Two weeks of drill could clear it up. If so, Texas is a very formidable force. If not, the cheese will quickly slide off the cracker.
Quinn looks like he's seeing the right things, but not trusting that he is. He had better form this week than against OU (can't judge too much from UGA - there weren't many opportunities). He just wouldn't let the tricky ball go. Whatever balm Sark has to cure self-doubt, it's time to order a double dose.
Vernon Broughton cost the gamblers money. I was afraid the Roughing call was for the innocuous head slap on the rush. Alas, it was for a clear and very unnecessary late targeting penalty. That pick would have changed the 27-24 game to a 34-17 one.
