It wasn't long ago that UT's nitty gritty dirt band was playing Rocky Top just for a big orange first down, so.....

You could just say….Oh yeah, our thing is also a 30 year old rock song.  Haha

That Norway-Brazil game was good as hell.
Hell is not good.

So....there's no appeals....unless FIFA decides a team can appeal.

And, there's no appeals, but you can bribe FIFA to undo a decision themselves.

So it's basically like a communist country....these are the rules, they are absolute, until they aren't, or unless you know the right people.

Is that it?  Have I FIFA'd correctly?

Reason #949248238 soccer sucks.

FIFA should be boxing judges, West German figure skating judges, and run North Korea.

I think the Red Card tossed on the English player last night was also BS!

How about this for a soccer question?

Why is there ONE ref out there, acting like God in short pants? In the real football, there's a crap-ton of zebras on the field, not the flag girls on the sideline 60 yards away.

And what a bunch of cowards...don't you want to beat the other team's best?

Fake floppery doesn't end at the sideline!

That one was legit and should have been booked immediately. That game was wild. At some point you would have thought the Mexican strikers had to start actually putting shots on the net instead of chucking up one terrible cross after another.

As for the first game: I readily admit I know very little about the tactics employed by various soccer teams. @SFBadger96 and @utee94 have forgotten more about soccer than I ever will. Plus a friend is married to a Big Ten soccer referee. That said, even I knew it was unwise to leave the EPL's leading scorer and all-around freak of nature alone, unmarked and unbothered, wandering around the crease.

The bigger question: after the WC is over, what are we going to do? Having 4 matches a day for a month was a ton of fun.

I hear the Sox are decent. Might get MLB and watch them.

We enjoy watching golf on weekends too.
