Wait, so a guy was already suspended in this WC and had his suspension suspended (that term is stupid, they should say "lifted"), and OAM still argued that this doesn't happen?

That's delicious.
No.

The Ronaldo situation happened before the WC, not during.  I love how many people (Americans only) are pretending they're the same situation.
It's strange how passionate some people are about this, who don't give a shit about soccer the other 3.9 years out of 4.

sometimes the calls aren't subjective , fans complain about all calls
Meh, sure, I guess.

But "severity" calls are always subjective by definition.  And that's what we're talking abut here with respect to fouls, yellow cards, and red cards.

Nope.

The entire thing is called the World Cup.  Ronaldo was red-carded in a World Cup Qualifier, for which he was assessed a 3-game ban, that he only served one game of so far, and the other two were suspened until after the entire World Cup is complete.

What we are currently in is the World Cup Finals.

It's all the World Cup.

England's Rooney had a Ronaldo situation years back.  Star player, some time served, pre-WC.   Precedent.

A crooked world leader contacted a crooked sports governing body and something unprecedented was the result.
Why is it that all the usual suspects here are pretending it's okay?

You know, you aren't required to be blindly allegiant, right?  You're allowed to keep your eyes open, even when BS benefits you and yours.

Verbal gymnastics.

It's all the World Cup.  That's literally what the entire thing is called.  As usual, your confidence in what you are saying is only exceeded by your ignorance of what you're talking about.  It's quite remarkable that you can be so wrong, so often, and never ever question how you got that way.

Cool.  It's all the world cup.  But it isn't really.  Is it.
I gladly acknowledge I'm not a soccer fan, aren't super-knowledgeable about it, etc.

But you're just being silly.  Sure, technically, the qualifiers Argentina plays after qualifying already are part of the world cup.  I guess.  Letter of the law, you've got it.

But the reality is the 48-team _______ ____ is named that because.......why?  Word salad = you've lost the plot

The 48-team tournament (that was previously a 32-team tournnament before this year) is called the ____ ____ ____.  Three blanks.  The World Cup Finals.

So thank you for acknowledging that I'm right, but you don't like it.  Got it.

If a CFB player commits targeting in the 2nd half of their CCG or their last regular-season game (if they're not part of the CCG) and then their team is selected to the CFP... Does the player play in the first half of the team's first CFP game?

Anyway, it's time for me to go enjoy this Belgium-USA match of the World Cup Finals.   Which is a continuation of the World Cup that began with the World Cup Qualifiers.

Geaux USA!

You're so occupied with being right about an irrelevant point that what happened was bullshit, but hey, because it's for the US, who cares??
The lack of objectivity in this place is staggering.

I doubt it.  Wrong football, though.
