Yep, I saw that graphic and was going to post it. It's very warm for sure.

The day night temps are on the decline around here, so I expect the Gulf to follow suit. It doesn't take long, but.. Hurry up!

Yup, same here.  We had a very hot last couple weeks of August-- not unusually hot, but hotter than the unusually cool weather we've been having all year.  Similar story I believe, down on the coast, so I'm sure that contributed.

But now we're back to "unusually cool" and it should help bring down those gulf temps in a hurry.

What we refer to around here as the "annual summer blastfurnace" has come to an end, at any rate, which is a good sign for everyone.

We've had a break from heat, with highs in the 70s all week. Been perfect Jeep weather which was nice since that's the only vehicle I had to go to work in...

Should push up to mid-high 80s next week (ugh), then the longer forecast suggests highs right around 80 beyond. 

No storms predicted. We did have a tiny amount of mist yesterday morning in Irvine though. It's okay, though. We will rebuild.

Yeah we've got an upcoming long string of "highs around 92, lows in the low 70s, low humidity, no rain" which is about perfect for CenTex late summer.  We took the doors off of my i s c & a aggie wife's Jeep and threw the top down.  Won't need to put it back together for a week or two, probably.

The heat is making it's return to SW TN -- to claim what is left of my lawn.

I haven't had to mow in nearly a month.
