The story about ice coverage is tricky of course.  The poles could be warming long term and yet have a year or two where ice coverage increases.
Also the poles could be cooling long term and yet have a century or two where ice coverage decreases.

Time is long.  Human memory is short.

Jesus. We're going from a pretty pleasant early May straight into the upper 90's.  It's been like 60ish in the mornings lately and highs in the mid to upper 80's.  After today we're expecting highs in the upper 90's.

Austin area projected to be in the 100's.  Sheesh !

We hit the 90s and briefly even 100 over the weekend, after a week of barely cracking 70. Should be a high of 70 again today, and not another daily forecast high over 70 for the next 7 days...

Don't know where that heat spike came from, but I was not ready for it yet! Even had to run the AC...

My wife turned the heat on here yesterday.  It was getting a bit cool I suppose.  I need to go check it now.

According to the nightly news International Falls, Minnesota hit 96° Sunday. The same International Falls that Sears Diehard use to boast that their car batteries always turned over when they were way below 0° - Crazy
