Maybe Drew can loosen it for you while you're on travel.

The site is pretty tightened down with foreign IP's.

Grand Marlin was ok.  Slow. Nearly $200. Nice waterside table.  B-
That's about what I thought.

Loved the tour of the Colloden battlefield. Felt like I got a much better understanding of the Scottish wars "with" England. (Which generally were not really Scotland vs. England, but more like the Game of Thrones: "I like this king;" "no, I like this king").

No big deal. Working around it. Went to st Andrew's.  Had to see the old course.  235 pounds to play a round plus prove you have ar least a 26 handicap.  Watching a few off the tee, not sure if they were too strict about it

:)
We visited St. Andrews, too, and lunch in the clubhouse bar. But no golf for us. 265 ain't actually that bad for that kind of a course.

How would one prove they have a 26 handicap? Speaking as someone whose handicap is around 22, that means I am absolute garbage on one hole, and look like a respectable player on another. Snowman, to a triple bogey, with a ball lost to the trees, to a missed birdie put is just another couple of holes on the course at this level.

My guess is they ask for your GHIN or WHS ID number. No handicap? No play. Again, just my guess, I've never played a HCP required course

well, the first tee at that place could be a bit stressful

That's how Pebble is. It's basically surrounded on three sides by people staring at you. I had the fortune of playing there a couple of times with someone else paying.

The good news is that because of its reputation, it has a wide range of players coming, which means there are a lot of garbage shots off the first tee. I think I made it out of there (the first hole) without screwing up that drive, which I count as a significant accomplishment.

Pensacola Beach Impressions:

It's a very boring 5+ hour drive from Atlanta.
The beach is very nice white sand, a bit crowded in spots, but it's August.
The Hilton hotel is in a good location and is "OK", but pricey.
There isn't a lot there, but what there is is OK.
We found a nice restaurant called Flounders across the street, had lunch there twice, portions are huge.
My wife said she'd go back, which is high praise from her.
It's not Myrtle Beach fortunately, and not Hilton Head either.
Didn't get to do a couple things of interest.

I've seen white sand, brown sand, black sand, and green sand beaches now.
