I was in the pool a bit on both full days, it was "OK" I guess.  We have a pool here of course usually to ourselves.  They have a bar near the pool that was decent.

The first morning we had their buffet which was kind of outrageous, $24 each.  Yeow.

$24? Times 2?

I'd have walked out. No way I'm paying that much for eggs, meat rejects (sausage) and flour.

I didn't get the bill or know the price beforehand.  We do get a $30 credit.  It was a nice buffet, for sure, but not worth that price.

The best buffet I've had at a hotel was in Rome, it was truly epic, and included.

The Italians know how to do breakfast buffets, that's for sure.

I like that I can make an Italian sub sandwich and a salad at 7:30 AM.

I will say a close second was in Tokyo at the Conrad, same in Seoul.  When they have a chef dude ready to make whatever you want, it's pretty special.

The Hilton in PB did have a lady who made omelettes to order, and smoked salmon, it wasn't like being at Hampton Inn at least.  But for the money, Hampton Inn is fine with me.

There is a lot the Japanese have mastered that I admire, these days, not so much pre1945.

Lucky for them, nobody in the USA wanted to listen to Deming.
