I was in the pool a bit on both full days, it was "OK" I guess.  We have a pool here of course usually to ourselves.  They have a bar near the pool that was decent.

The first morning we had their buffet which was kind of outrageous, $24 each.  Yeow.

$24? Times 2?

I'd have walked out. No way I'm paying that much for eggs, meat rejects (sausage) and flour.

I didn't get the bill or know the price beforehand.  We do get a $30 credit.  It was a nice buffet, for sure, but not worth that price.

The best buffet I've had at a hotel was in Rome, it was truly epic, and included.

The Italians know how to do breakfast buffets, that's for sure.

I like that I can make an Italian sub sandwich and a salad at 7:30 AM.

I will say a close second was in Tokyo at the Conrad, same in Seoul.  When they have a chef dude ready to make whatever you want, it's pretty special.

The Hilton in PB did have a lady who made omelettes to order, and smoked salmon, it wasn't like being at Hampton Inn at least.  But for the money, Hampton Inn is fine with me.

There is a lot the Japanese have mastered that I admire, these days, not so much pre1945.

Lucky for them, nobody in the USA wanted to listen to Deming.

I don't know if anyone here is driving by Atlanta, but they have been closing sections of the western bypass on weekends weather permitting for reconstruction.  The above is a simple lane closure, but further up and west it's a total shutdown.

Going to the Glass Palace casino in North Sioux City, SD for breakfast with the fellas before the tournament

Been to belfast before. So this time I decided to do a pub crawl.  Found a number of interesting pub and a good variety of beer.

Complained to the beverage manager on the ship, there was no mccallan 12 like other ncl ships.  He found a bottle and had it hidden away for me at one of the bars.  Have to like it when they go out of their way to make you happy.

Heading to my most anticipated stop tomorrow. Normandy beach and the surrounding area.

Bayeux is worth seeing if possible, I think, but the Normandy beaches should be the priority.
