Gotta think Julius Davis is going to poke around. Suspended for 5 games, and only one (bad) carry yesterday. He's in the dog house, for sure.

I don't think so. They make it harder to figure out now.

I'm 80 percent sure his major is business school. He's been on campus eight semesters, plus four summers. I'd bet he has is undergrad. Not sure about grad school.

Michigan RB Christian Turner enters the portal. He's from Georgia, maybe Georgia Tech?

Barnett and Dobbs are a curious case. Both those guys can definitely play. I wouldn’t be against Michigan pursuing either one. I’d love to have Dobbs actually. Get as many talented OL as you can. Dobbs best fit might even be at DT. He was an ultra athletic big man in HS.

Both are going to Memphis, which checks with the fact that Barnett looked terrible every time he was on the field, and Dobbs couldn't even get out there

Dobbs was only a RS Frosh. Takes time for OL’s to develop. Especially ones that had horrible coaching in high school like he did. I don’t know- just me but I wouldn’t quit on a RS Frosh OL so quickly. 

Barnett was a top rated cornerback in HS that MSU moved to WR. Cornerback that can’t run routes and catch the ball consistently? Hey who knew. There’s a reason some guys play cornerback and not WR. And then they moved him back to CB in 2020. Not great for a young players development to keep flip flopping positions like that. Kid should’ve been stuck at CB from day one and redshirted. 

I really don’t understand why so many young players get their redshirts burned needlessly. Harbaugh is fricken notorious for this. Kids shouldn’t burn their redshirts unless they are major contributors day one. Basically if he’s not a starter caliber player as a true Frosh- redshirt his ass. Wisconsin is the model- you redshirt true freshman players. Period.

That's also a big issue- when a player is stubborn and wants to play a position he's not best suited for. You tell them whatever you have to in order to get them on campus, and then give them a shot at the position they want and then just move them later imo.
