Yeah the mid/late 70s featured some pretty ugly cars.

I rather liked this one though:

Not bad, though I like the flames on black cars more than a red one.  I'm sure there's some black Corvettes with flames.

It was AWD. Surprisingly pretty peppy for a 1.5L Turbo.

Not as peppy (or sturdy or safe) as the GLC though.

Trying to find a nice GLE now.

When we had my son's Mustang in for annual maintenance at the Ford dealership, they supplied us with a loaner.  It was a Bronco Sport, which I learned had a 1.5L inline 3 cylinder turbo motor.  It seemed surprisingly peppy to me, but definitely not sporty, despite its name.

It's amazing to me, how much HP these engineers can coax out of an engine the size of a Coke bottle.
