I suspect 18 will probably linger around awhile.  They're SECSECSEC after all so the voters cut them some slack.

And their only games before us are against Furman, Georgia Tech, and Kennesaw State, so I imagine they'll be closer to 14 or 15 by the time we meet up.  Heck, depending on how badly we lose to the Buckeyes, they could be ranked ahead of us.

in all seriousness I’m glad these two are playing each other super early in the season.
Other than potentially decreasing the losers margin of error,it likely won’t hurt even one of them in the attempt to make a playoff appearance.  Of course that’s assuming they don’t totally suck and get beat by a lot of teams.

Texas has seemed competitive with UGA and OSU, usually, just on the wrong end.

Always on the wrong end.  Every single time.  0-5.  And last year's game against Georgia in Athens wasn't anywhere near competitive.

I won't believe he can beat either of those two teams until I see it, and even then I'd still be skeptical.

Ha!  It doesn't make me angry.  It does make me shake my head though.

I just don't think Sarkisian has what it takes to beat the very best teams.  He beats lots of good teams.  He's not a bad coach.  He's just not an elite coach and he brings a ton of the problems on himself.

I'm guessing we'll have 3 losses in the regular season again this year.  A loss to Ohio State in Week2, and then our luck is bound to run out against OU and/or A&M.  That could be 3 losses right there and that's not even counting playing Tennessee in Knoxville or LSU in Baton Rouge.

Dawg fans say Smart can't beat Alabama.  Basically they have had competitive games and lost late, and won rarely.

Any time you play another team roughly at your level it's a "50-50" game, and you have a 1 in 8 shot at losing (or winning) 3 in a row.

UGA used to lose to Florida regularly, some because Florida was really good, some when the teams were about even.  Coaches of course get fired for losing too often to rivals.

0-5 isn't representative of 50-50 odds in each matchup.  Either Sarkisian is the unluckiest coach ever to live, or there's some other reason.
