This makes sense to me. Everyone knows Cali and NE are expensive. Florida didn't used to be, but I've definitely noticed a spike since moving here.

Florida is expensive because you moved there.  You bought up all the local beer, sporty cars, and awnings and single-handedly reduced supply.

The issue with statewide maps of anything of course is the diversity within any state.  Atlanta is pricey, if you lived in say Stateville, it isn't.

This kind of ranking is useful, I think, though not very surprising.  My daughter is not a "computer engineer" but I don't think she makes thta much.  She was a dual French and English major back when.  I'm a bit surprised chemistry is below par.

It says college degrees, which I presume mean no postgrad.

In most states, a two year won't get anyone a nursing job anymore. They want BSN's.
