I am rather fond of April Fools Day.
as you're the namesake?

LOL... Just threw it in there to be funny.

I can always trust an attorney to read carefully. Most people probably glossed over that... You know, "tl;dr" and all.

I saw it and LI'd (laughed inwardly.....opposite of LOL).  And I ain't no stinkin' lawyer.

Washington Post did a college football happiness ranking (probably behind a pay wall):
https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/interactive/2025/best-worst-college-football-programs-rankings/?itid=hp-top-table-main_p001_f013
It is largely based on winning percentage, winning things (like conference or national championships), and weeks ranked.

For methodology, I think one of the key omissions is consideration of a fandom's expectations, i.e., yes, Texas has been winning lately, but Texas fans expect elite results. Indiana has only just started winning, but it is beyond their fans' wildest imaginations, so which fan base is happier?

Anyway, keeping with the rankings tradition, here is the top 25 happiness index according to the Post (for the past 5 years, you can also look for the past decade or 25 years):
1) Georgia
2) Ohio State
3) Michigan
4) Alabama
5) Oregon
6) Notre Dame
7) Texas
8) Ol' Miss
9) Washington
10) Tennessee
11) Clemson
12) Oklahoma
13) Penn State
14) aTm
15) Utah
16) Texas Tech
17) Indiana
18) Miami
19) TCU
20) SMU
21) BYU
22) LSU
23) Kansas State
24) Arizona State
25) Missouri

Wisconsin is at 61 out of 70 included teams.

67, actually.
B1G:
2) Ohio State
3) Michigan
5) Oregon
9) Washington
13) Penn State (seems a bit high for a program that fired its coach for performance reasons, but...)
17) Indiana (remember, this for the past five years, not just the last two)
28) Illinois
29) USC
38) Iowa
41) UCLA (this seems crazy)
46) Minnesota
53) Michigan State
57) Maryland
58) Rutgers
61) Wisconsin
64) Purdue
67) Nebraska
69) Northwestern
