Ah, the old steroid problem. Sigh.

Barry Bonds was a really good baseball player. Clemens and Rodriguez, too.

Did Pujols avoid the strong implication of steroid use?

I don't recall him being tied to that, but in that era, I'm skeptical of everyone.

Pujols' thing was a possible false age.  A $100 million deal at age 32 was bad enough, but if he was actually 34, it's even worse.
