both ex-brother-in-laws are in town from Boston to help clean up tornado damage at the ex-father-in-law's farm
I will probably be helping with cleanup and saving golf for Sunday & Monday

but, I'm happy either way
haven't seen the outlaw lobster eaters for more than a few years - good guys!

I'll invite them to join me at Archie's Waeside - they just love Iowa corn-fed beef and the ridiculously low prices
after the 2nd day of manual labor cleaning up debris, - took the ex-brother-in-laws from Boston to dinner at Kahill’s Chophouse (Archie's not open on Sunday)

They both seemed to really enjoy it and my daughter joined us.

Impressed but I'm rapidly losing the illusion of a poor dirt farmer in the narrative. Say what is the best mattress to stuff your money in - Serta,Sealy,Temper-pedic or Simmons???

Tis the season for graduation parties.  Yesterday the parents of my daughter's BFF of 13 years and future college roommate hosted a crawfish boil for the girls.  Today I'm having a small gathering of my daughter's friends and parents over for BBQ.  I offered up brisket but my daughter really loves ribs so I'll be doing three racks of pork spares and a couple chickens this afternoon.  And then next weekend there are two more parties on Saturday and Sunday.

My boy is 92 golden lbs of sunshine, joy, and love. Faces light up around him. So I'm pretty sure "nobody" isn't accurate...
For those of us (me) who are allergic to animals, it's a real problem - even outside - depending on the breeze.

The larger problem, in my opinion, is the lack of give a shit by the dog owners.

Sounds like a big ole good lad.

There was a bar I used to go to that has 1-2 dog nights per week. And there are some my coworkers go to that are just fill time dog bars.

I had a group of childhood friends in town this weekend.  Many their first Indy 500 which was remarkably exciting.

A belated 50th b day party weekend.

We needed rain, and boy howdy, we got it.  More on the way, hopefully not the deluge we've had at times.  My neighbor has a big pile of wood outside.

Must be nice to get rain.

Spent the whole weekend working in my yard, which was digging a bunch of fence post holes and planting holes for the grapes my daughter's vintner friend brought us in a buckets.  Made for some exhaustive labor running post hole diggers through concrete dry soil under the buffalo grass section of the yard.

But I rarely thought about being at this desk all weekend long.  The sore body is a reminder, so that's cool.

On the good side of it being dry as hell, not a chigger or mosquito bite all weekend.
