I have a 10:30am tee time - the course decided to allow carts this morning after the much needed rain all day yesterday!

both ex-brother-in-laws are in town from Boston to help clean up tornado damage at the ex-father-in-law's farm
I will probably be helping with cleanup and saving golf for Sunday & Monday

but, I'm happy either way
haven't seen the outlaw lobster eaters for more than a few years - good guys!

I'll invite them to join me at Archie's Waeside - they just love Iowa corn-fed beef and the ridiculously low prices

Just kidding, got to pack bc I'm moving next week.

Better location for cheaper.  Gotta do it.

We're gonna take the pup* over to a local brewery for lunch today...

https://www.missionreadybrewing.com/

Been wanting to try this place a while. It was previously Laguna Beach beer company (despite the fact that it's not in--or all that near--Laguna Beach). But they opened a bigger place actually in Laguna Beach, and sold this location. According to Yelp, the new owners are an upgrade in both beer and food.

And it's veteran-owned, so not a bad thing for Memorial Day weekend.

(* I know taking the dog makes Badge unhappy... Dogs are patio-only so he could easily avoid it tho.)

Nobody wants to eat with a dog in any setting - outdoors or indoors - except for the clowns that bring their dogs.

Grumpy.

Once was at a brewery, someone knocked over a beer on a grated table. A soaked and confused Brittany Spaniel emerged from under the table. Adorable.

Just completed my 700th Peloton ride.

I did it live in the hopes of an instructor call-out, but sadly that didn't come. Oh well.

The good thing is that I've been slacking a bit on Peloton lately, and live rides generally cause most people to get a little bit more competitive with the leaderboard than on-demand rides. Which was the case for me. So I actually went harder and put up more output than I have in a while. Finished right around the top 5% of the leaderboard.

Now I'm resting after getting showered up and before going to lunch, where I'll eat and drink back the calories I just burned :57:
