Actually, this made me happy this week. A friend who had been a runner early in life, got back to it a few years back when we worked together.

He ran Boston on Monday and he just killed it.

I offered my assistant job to a young lady that accepted it.

Happy, but knowing I could very well be having to go through this shit again at the drop of a hat...or the discovery that she padded her hours by about 30 in a weeks time like the 2nd-to-last one did.

Had a nice little happy hour with my wife at the wine bar on the lake. Including a charcuterie platter. 

Now we're home (before 6 PM), and we'll cook a sausage, corn, & poblano chowder for dinner, and have a very quiet and chill night.
