I cancelled my Disney+ subscription a while ago and don't see renewing it anytime soon. One thing that occurs to me is that I've only seen episodes 6-9 once each. Same with Solo. I own the first six on DVD--and still have a (barely) working DVD player. I've probably watched the prequels 2-3 times each. Each time I've hoped they would be better than I remembered them. Each time I've been proven wrong. The second is the worst, but they are all bad. I have no desire to watch Solo again. I would watch A New Hope, Empire, or Rogue One just on the basis of boredom--and I might end up watching Return of the Jedi, just to finish the set. The forest moon of Endor is incredibly stupid, but the climactic scene on the Emperor's bridge is solid.
Anyway, I'm sure I could rehash a bunch of tired arguments about those movies, but, mostly, I just don't have any desire to watch the newer stuff--with the exception of Rogue One--again, and I would skip past them during a doom scroll of what random thing to watch some slow night at home. There is so much more, better, mindless drivel available than any of them.
All pure opinion, of course. But strongly held. What good is an opinion if it isn't?
