I *think* Ozzy was still putting out hits in the early 90's, or at least that's what I vaguely remember.  Never was a fan, but I would listen to them if they were on.

We watched their show in the early 00's a little, along with all the other reality TV that made it on the air in those days (Nick and Jessica, etc).  Seems like a very, very long time ago.  I remember MTV paid them like $20 million for the 2nd season or something.

Yeah, "Mama I'm Coming Home" and "No More Tears" were two of Ozzy's later solo hits, both in 1991.

No More Tears was a great album - first with Zach Wilde.

Best Ozzy shows for me was when Randy was on the guitar.

Best overall was Ozzy with Jake E. Lee on the guitar and Motley Crue backing band. Imagine the drugs flying on that tour. Holy shit.

I thought that's what I remembered.  I just remember because most of the 70's artists like him were long dormant and he had some hits much later in his career.  Black Sabbath was an "old" rock-n-roll band when I was in HS.

The other rockers that had hits in the 70's and 90's were Aerosmith, and AC/DC.  70's music seemed kind of weird to me in HS because of bands like KISS and other rockers that didn't do much after their prime.

Black Sabbath is the perfect "Greatest Hits" band.  Their first two albums were good, not great, but had some great songs.  Master of Reality and Vol. 4 were outright bad.  Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage were fine, had a couple of decent songs.  Then they almost became a parody of themselves.

You listen to their "Best of", it's great.  They never released an album that was less than 60% filler

And this is one of the main reasons the "album era" ultimately died.  It wasn't just that mp3/iTunes/streaming took over, it's also that even the people who lived through and loved the album era, got sick of all the filler crap.

Did not remain a professional wrestling fan, but the Wrestlemania when Hulk body slammed Andre the Giant is a classic for me. That was my era: Macho Man Randy Savage, Jimmy Superfly Snuka, Jesse the Body, the Ultimate [steroid abuser] Warrior, Rowdy Roddy Piper, the Iron Sheik (what a great villain)...It wasn't as well choreographed or extreme as it became later, but it was all kinds of silly fun.

Oh--how could I forget Jake the Snake!?!

Yeah, but at the very tail end of any attention that I spent on the franchise. There have been some good heroes and villains since then (the Rock, John Cena, and definitely the Undertaker come to mind--and I'm sure there are some good ones now), but that was after my time.
