I was pretty serious about one girl who graduated UGA the same year as me.  We held on for about a year of separation.  She was a Christian Scientist which gave me significant pause.  The one I did marry also graduated UNC the same year as me.  We held on for a few months of separation and then got married.  I think in large degree that was because it seemed like it was time and here was a person of the OS.

AS I was raising my kids as a single mom, I didn't think much at all about dating.  I put it out of my mind, one gets pretty busy with three kids.

How many of us are on Number Two?

I am, and she is terrific after 7 years of marriage and 4 years before that "dating".  She let's me be me, which is amazingly tolerant.

The last one is always the best (at least for me)

Been remarried for 3 years. It great to have someone who accepts you for you. wish I have found her early, though that probably wouldn't have work since she was married for 32 years before her late husband died.

I am indeed lucky.  I outkicked my coverage big time and will remain forever grateful to whatever power, entity, fate, stochastic process, or pure dumb luck enabled me to do so. :)

I was married for 25 years with 10 kids, when my ex decided she would rather sleep with other guys (well it was probably earlier when that started).

I had all the kids with me with no help from her, until I decided to move out to AZ to help with my mom. Gave the kids still at home the choice at that time whether to move with me or go to Indiana and live with their mom. Only one of the four left went with me.

Personally wasn't thinking about dating or getting remarried, but hated being in the house all the time, so I joined a meetup group that went out to listen to live music and dancing. Spent months just dancing with multiple ladies most Fridays and Saturdays not even thinking about dating. Then boom, I met my current wife. Been great ever since.

It was funny, her 2 boys were concerned that I was taking advantage of a rich recent widow and their mother didn't know what she was doing. They have since come around, they at least tolerate me now. Her only fault is she is from Boston and an extreme Patriots' fan. I do give her credit she was a long time season ticket holder before the Brady-Belichek era.

I have a friend who grew up in Marietta, GA and went to Auburn. After college, he spent almost two years working at his employer's location in Switzerland, and got to travel a bit through Europe.

It always chafed him a little bit every time he'd be called a "Yankee" or "Yank" by the Europeans...
