Electrical engineers are the smartest, best looking, most socially agreeable, and most humble, of all engineering disciplines.  It is known.
Do they attract adorable wives?

There is no Terrace with live music serving great beers and food in Ann Arbor.
Live music? I hardly ever went for that.

The beautiful sunsets over the lake, hell yeah.

I didn't either, to be honest. I wasn't up there on weekends. :(

My last semester, when people just said "It's sunny, want to get an after class pitcher?" at 2 p.m., that was just grand.

There aren't many better settings, especially not at student unions.

Somewhere there is a picture of GopherRock sitting in that big chair in the foreground. 2010 board meeting. He was big and tall enough to fill it up too.

One of my undergrad professors recommended Wisconsin to me as grad school.  At the time, I thought of Wisconsin and North Pole as being the same thing.  Nyet.

Another one suggested Cal, which to me was somewhere near Japan, or something.  I had a very parochial view of the world.  I've now been to 49 states.  The world has shrunk.

At West Point, where I did not matriculate, electrical engineering is taught in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.  Shorthand for that is D/EE&CS.  Or, orally, "EEKS!"

Excellent Chemistry (and ChemE) department up in Madison. One of the best around, so "they" say.

They had a professor there at the time named Barry Trost who was a Big Gun, as they say.
