Wait.  Trump is a hypocrite?

Speaking of the Redskins:

A great effort on the part of Trump to divert attention from his involvement in the Epstein file to everything from the unexpected release of the MLK files to the Cleveland Guardians baseball team, and the Washington Commanders football team, which are politically irrelevant, until today. The showmanship is like a 14 ring circus extravaganza diverting attention from what he does not want you to see, to who knows what will fancy your attention, other than pedophilia?

He could have responded to the WSJ article by simply saying: There is nothing illegal about bawdy birthday wishes to someone who wasn't then accused of pedophilia at the time, and 23 years ago,  I had no idea what the then unaccused Epstein was doing with children, and didn't participate in it. Why not deliver that message, today? Why not? We all know why.

Fighting for a government that serves the people.

We investigate corruption and abuse of power in the federal government. And we promote commonsense reforms that strengthen our democracy and build a more equitable, accountable government.

I THINK many voters got tired of seeing the same kind of folks nominated for President, Romney, McCain, Biden, Harris, Bush, .... I think Obama seemed fresh and different, and he won of course.  For some voters, there doesn't seem to be a difference between the two candidates, and they think neither is going to "fix things".  So, they looked for someone very very different .... and I think we'd all agree we got him, twice now.

I'm from the camp that thinks a President doesn't make a lot of difference, nominations will be different, foreign policy can be rather different, maybe the marginal income tax rates get a smallish shift, maybe we run huge deficits, the CFR keeps expanding,  ...the verbiage will be different, but The Machine keeps running the country, at least many think that, some call it the Deep State.

There is a persistent feeling the country is running down, and folks want somebody who can arrest that, and are willing to take a chance.  Good luck.

Every day at work, we are dealing with the changes that have been made since this president took office. They are substantial and having enormous impact on the industry that I am in and the industries that we serve. Some are good and some are bad, but the differences are enormous so I’m going to have to strongly disagree with you.

Interesting, I'm not at work now, so I'm shielded from any of that.  When I was at work, it didn't make any difference in my job.

Well I am in banking.  So the impact on consumers, car loans, boat loans, home loans, commercial loans for all types of large and small businesses- not to mention the level of government compliance and regulatory scrutiny, the CFPB ( which has been neutered).   DEI initiatives, deleted illegals- the list goes on and on.
Again, whether you agree or not, the dramatic changes are undeniable.

I agree there are some large changes at times in regulatory fields.  My kid just visited us over the weekend, he's a lawyer who deals with banking regulations and noted the same thing as you.  He said they were still trying to understand it all and some of it remains unclear.  Decisions made by Bush 2 obviously hit me very hard.

But, for many folks, it doesn't much change, and they want change.
