As far as 9-11 goes- we still don't have all the information on the investigation into it as many documents are still classified 20+ years later. Who was it perpetrated by? Last time I checked not the entire nation of Afghanistan but by a small foreign terrorist group that was given safe haven by the ruling government of Afghanistan. And 9-11 certainly had nothing to do with Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, or Iran. It was perpetrated by Osama Bin Laden (allegedly) who ironically the United States helped to fund/arm/train and essentially create in the 1980s.

Bin Laden knew he could never take the US empire head on- nobody could- especially at that time 20+ years ago when China was nowhere near what it is today. His aim was to lay a trap and to get the United States to foolishly get itself sucked into an intractable unwinnable forever war in the Middle East and bankrupt itself in the process. Newsflash: it worked. We've spent close to $13 trillion dollars on stupid unnecessary endless foreign wars and have watched our national debt bloat to $37 trillion and reach unsustainable levels- we spend $1 trillion a year just servicing our debt. Would be pretty nice if we had a $24 trillion debt instead of $37 trillion. Call me crazy but I'd take 24 over 37 all day long. Or hey here's a better idea- imagine $13 trillion spent on US cities and towns rebuilding infrastructure and investing in the future. And here's an even better idea- imagine if all the human lives on both sides weren't lost- our soldiers and their people- and all those nations weren't destroyed leading to a refugee/immigration crisis in Europe where their countries/cities are overrun with foreigners with vastly different political/social/religious ideologies fleeing war zones.

Instead of using clandestine services to try to hunt down the terrorist or invade Afghanistan for a short period to try and find him what did the US do? Throw $13 trillion dollars and thousands of US soldiers lives down the drain invading, occupying, and bombing a bunch of countries that had absolutely nothing to do with 9-11.

Watching how much tax rates have dropped, while simultaneously entitlement programs have increased in the past half century is why we are where we are.  It's a winning position for politicians, but a complete disaster to our infrastructure.

the reality is they can't do anything alone. they are wholly reliant upon Daddy America. are you even a real country if you depend on another country completely? 

Israel is already a pariah state on the world stage because of it's continual brutal occupation of Gaza and the West Bank that has been going on for 58 consecutive years, it's continual illegal under international law expansion of settlements and annexation of land in the West Bank, the mass murder and slaughter and ethnic cleansing it's been perpetrating on Gaza for the last 18 months (which we arm & fund and are complicit in), and it attacking it's neighbors Lebanon & Syria and currently occupying parts of both of those countries. If it actually used a nuke on Iran unprovoked- Daddy America ain't going to be able to save them from the rest of the world. 

Israel's nukes are meant as a deterrent imo. I don't think even they are blood thirsty enough to offensively use one- but their Prime Minister is a gigantic sack of human shit- so who fucking knows.

I don't think China would like that. And China is a backer of Iran to a degree- they might have sway with them. 

My view remains the same, US should stay out completely and do all it can to incentivize Iran to make a deal. China might have to lead the way on this. Iran probably doesn't trust the US and quite frankly for good reason.
