Telling people how to think always works out well.

Some of you guys turn so basic when it comes to religion and here, patriotism.

Why turn your brain off for anything?

I'm pleasantly fine with folks crossing the border illegally being VERY upset with the USA not wanting to kiss their asses
If their brains and their thinking are any where near accurate, they can kiss my ass
turn your brain on and think about coming to America
yup, It's still your best option by a VERY large margin
even if you're not wanted and will probably be deported

Step 1 of the border isn't building a wall, it's fixing the god-damned legal immigration system. It is horrifically broken.
Much fewer people would enter illegally if they had any rational hope of getting in legally without an 8-year avalanche of nonsense bullshit.

But no, we squabble about a wall and deportations.  And yes, the legal system being broken was the case 4 years before now, and 4 before that, and 4 before that......it's both parties shitting the bed.

I think the vast majority of those who come here, or stay here, without proper documentation do it for economic reasons.  I'm not sure that is debateable.

I don't know what sort of "vetting" is needed to allow them to stay here legally, and work etc.  Allowing them to say "asylum" is insufficient in my view.  Just giving them all some other kind of pass is insufficient.  I agree our laws need updating, but that isn't going to happen because both political parties benefit from the strife and mayhem.

So, how should someone be handled who presents himself to BP and claims asylum?  Or just wants to come in and work?  Take his name and check him off?

A friend of mine shared this with me.

I shrug at such a shirt.

Support can mean many things, as can country. People narrow the definitions to whatever makes them feel best and go from there.

I don't know all the details, but there is a pretty quick work visa for agricultural work as I recall.  This is for folks who go back and forth.

We had a ton of folks cross over and find BP to claim asylum, which has been a recent "dodge".  That needs fixing, most of the reasons they come is economic, but claim asylum and you're in the System now.
