the GLP-1 drugs have a ridiculous set of side effects and the truth is we don't really know what the long term effects of the drugs are.
I've taken Wegovy and the only side effects I experienced were being gassy and burping a lot.  It's true there is a long list of possible side effects-- this is true for every drug I've ever seen on the market.  But not every user experiences all, or even any, of the side effects.

The second part is certainly true though-- we don't know the long term effects of the GLP drugs.  They haven't been around long enough for us to know.  There is evidence of problems in lab animals, but for many other substances that's never been a guarantee that it will present problems for humans in the dosages that humans consume.  But it is true that we don't yet know.

Here's an example of taxpayer-funded silliness.

I currently work at a taxpayer-(partially)funded institution.  I've had jobs before where the computers were locked down and you couldn't install your own software.  I get that.  Ours are locked down to where we can't even update programs when they require it (or if you don't have to update, but the update prompts are perpetual and annoying).

I work on the same floor as the IT guys, and they're crawling everywhere like ants.  I don't wish anyone in particular ill will, but no telling how many tickets they get for software updates, and I think that our number of IT personnel wouldn't be required if people could simply click "Update Now" for themselves.

Meanwhile I sit here on the gub'ment dime, unable to do anything, because the 180,000 IT guys we have all forgot to install Adobe Reader on my laptop when it was issued.  Like......can't you authorize us to install some things?  And the sheer insanity of waiting for them again to come update something that's already installed......I'd rather not think about it.
My company has a software center or something like that where you are given a list of programs you can install for free.  Some of them are free, and some require an extra license (they're not free, they just have a blanket license).  I have one installed (microsoft product) that I have to continually answer that I legitmately need 3-4 times a year.

Yeah, that's the way it is everywhere.  I'm in an IT hell right now, because they pushed an Office update through to half the users, but I have people on my team in shared documents, who didn't get it.  So we have corrupted files that are 3,000+ pages long

That feels like a stretch for taxpayer-funded silliness. Corporations all over are very adamant you not install stuff.

Shoot, my company is on the verge of outlawing the Google suite on our work equipment.

I find that surprising that you took it.  Were you heavier at one point?  Because I thought I saw that you were 5-10 and 180ish.   Even if you got up to 200-220 I wouldn't think you'd be a candidate for that.
