People can say what they want about him, especially those that don’t like him, but he’s the first darn politician in my lifetime that does what he says he’s going to do after winning. Again, there’s plenty of people that don’t like some or all of what he does, but at least he’s not full of $h!t, doing the opposite after the election.

I can't tell when you're being spicy or being clueless.  I guess I'll assume the latter.

So increasing food costs for free/reduced lunches for students across the country would cost money as a government program.

Republicans are for less government (allegedly).  Wouldn't want that cost to increase.  Yes, even if it benefits the nation's children.

I don't know anyone who doesn't want kids to eat better.

The government provides many ways and opportunities for kids to eat better, in various forms of welfare. Most of their parents don't take advantage of that, however. They buy overpriced processed food because it's easy, and their kids like it because it's overly salty or sugary.

Who is at fault?

Republicans, I'm sure... Yep. For sure.

Outlandish? Building a wall was outlandish? Let me guess, overhauling some of the 3 letter agencies is outlandish, cleaning up our food system is outlandish and taming wasteful spending is outlandish. Giving more control back to the states and trying to break up the political sphere in DC is outlandish. 

sounds like exactly the mindset of using the word conspiracy to dismiss things. Got it. Outlandish may be the new conspiracy term.
