Your imagination isn't factual.  Please try to keep up.  According to the NYT, police interactions dropped precipitously.  That is a fact.  It is also an admission against interest because I took it from a left wing rag specifically so that you couldn't just say "right wing misinformation."

Police interactions dropped, that is a fact.  @MaximumSam says "I didn't find there to be much to 'depolicing' isn't factual, it is your imagination.

Policing dropped and people died.  The left wing has blood on their hands.  Own it.
Well, you have already admitted that guns contribute to homicides, yet you fail to take responsibility admit the right has blood on its hands. Why? Because in your heart you feel that the costs of dramatically tightening up gun possession is not worth the benefits. Instead, the "left" must admit that they have blood on their hands, because they somehow aren't that interested in "lot(s) of police interactions."

It's always the same. You want all the benefits of something when the costs don't impact you, and when the costs do impact you, they are unfair. But when other people complain about the costs affecting them, they have "blood on their hands."

Even if we take everything you want to believe as true, it is still quite flimsy. Yes, lots of murders happen over trivial matters. Many of them happen due to arguments on Instagram. Should we ban Instagram to help reduce homicides? Does our failure to ban Instagram mean we have blood on our hands over that, too? There is literally no end to the restrictions you can make when you stop taking into account things like rights when making your proclamations about saving the children and who has blood on their hands.

I'm for tightening up gun possession by criminals.

I'm for a precrime department where I determine who is going to commit crimes.

I'm decidedly not. I prefer "due process", etc.

I might be convinced to support tighter gun legislation IFF I could be convinced it would actually achieve something.  I had one notion, but it would stand zero chance of passage.  Instead, everyone focuses on "assault weapons" and the "gun show loophole", a thing anyone who goes to a gun show knows is absurd.

If we're talking economy, Intel released quarterly earnings and is getting absolutely hammered... Apparently laying off ~15% of their workforce.

Yes- market tanked today on higher unemployment and renewed inflation concerns.

Yeah if anyone has been reading what I've been writing for the past month, this is exactly what I've been predicting.  They're not the first and they won't be the last.

And cuts at my company are about to go deep-- much deeper than Intel's.  Probably closer to double that.  It's beginning this week and the real axe will drop on Monday.  I am definitely at risk but hopeful to make it through.

Yep.  You have been saying this exactly.

Wishing the best for you at your company.

Jumping off a @Brutus Buckeye comment because as ELA pointed out, the Olympic thread is a poor space for political argument.

I'm just skeptical a basically completely Muslim country has managed a big ole conspiracy to send a secret trans athlete to the Olympics. If this is actually a secret trans person, outfitted with a gentleman's parts and the rest, I'd gladly say that person needs to be DQed ASAP.
