No.  The only way that Joe Biden is not the Democratic Party's nominee for President is if he's dead.

Some loud voices on the left flank have been howling for Biden to be replaced from the minute he declared his candidacy. Those are the ones sucking the oxygen out of the room.

Also, the voices screaming for Biden's replacement got a lot quieter once everyone started evaluating the firehose of bullshit standing next to him on the stage.
He kinda is.

People will vote with two things top of mind.

Immigration and their wallets.

Some may vote with abortion, as if either party really gives a shit.

The fact that I see the small government party celebrating that one branch can act unchecked, while the big government party saying "this isnt what the founding fathers wanted" tells me we are fucked.  Its full on team sports, and neither side recognizes their own hypocrisy

There is something weird about how things have evolved where we say of a lot of government employees, “well they simply need many protections not afforded to normal folks.”

I think in a hundred years, people will look back at this handful of generations where the parties 'flipped'.  Like when you're surprised to learn Lincoln was a Republican, because it seems backwards to what we've had the past few decades.  Or to learn the south was largely Dem 100 years ago.

We've got:  liberal extremists going overboard with identity politics
Conservatives throwing out the bible and any hint of fiscal responsibility
An unbalanced SCOTUS that just made a short-sighted decision that will have long-term ramifications
An overall inverted bell curve when it comes to voters and parties
A Bill Mahar quote that most here will actually like:  the left has 'become so tolerant that it tolerates intolerance'
The Rs booting all the politicians in favor for the worst non-politician
Painted ourselves in a corner, so no matter who wins, it'll be President Crypt-keeper in the WH
Young Liberals siding with a terrorist group
A race to the bottom - who can get a better dig against the other guy
A populace that votes to be entertained, not led
.
And not a god-damned person involved looking in the mirror in any effort to make it better

Not surprised Lincoln was a Republican.  But am surprised how people forget the Democrat Party was the party of slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow laws, and segregation.

Where was all the liberal angst when Obama decided a US citizen abroad was a terrorist and droned him?

There's a big cluster in there there kinda snaps into shitposter talking points for the fun of it. I'd read they'd taken a lot of leadership in that party.

This history gets brought up a lot, but it's also kinda fascinating that as a "party" it really was a weird coalition. In the NE, it was a party for some degree of working folks, which meant a lot of immigrants and catholics. But in the south, obviously the party of the white folks in power. And yet they were one "party."

(Also makes the schism in the 60s and 70s fascinating for both parties)
