Sure. But this was a typical light afternoon snack when I got home from school before dinner. You know, this or two boxes of Kraft mac & cheese. Light snacks.
This.
The amount of food I ate in HS + college was obscene.

I gained basically 100 lbs in high school. And I was lean af.

The amount of food you must consume to do that is ridiculous.

Then I went to college. As a freshman I was 6'5" 225. My roommate was 6'5" 160. He ate WAY more than I did, and never gained an ounce. We used to say he had the metabolism of a hummingbird on speed.

hot take: Chicago style pizza is not pizza. And it's f*cking disgusting.
That take is about as cold as a frozen Giordano’s pizza that can be shipped anywhere in the US.

The HS coaches tries to bulk me up as well.  The football coach wanted me to play tight end, I had never played football before.  I was 6'4" 175.

That team, my senior year, went 1-8-1, so playing TE probably wouldn't have been fun.  Our QB was also catcher on the baseball team, so I knew him well.

I've of course had thin crust that was good (and not), deep dish that was good (sometimes greasy), NY style that was good (also can be greasy), Detroit style (didn't know it was a thing really), Pizza Hut style, Papa John's style, Dijourno's style,   ... it's all pretty decent with some exceptions.  I don't have a favorite.

I had my first pizza ever when I was 15 or 16.  It was pepperoni, probably at Pizza Inn or equivalent.  I thought it was very spicy.

I don't think I had another until I went off to college, and then, not liking beer at all, I discovered beer was pretty good with pizza.

I never had "Mexican" food until I went to college, didn't like it.  My first French restaurant was in grad school.
