On a side note, China is committing genocide. Where are the protests on that?
No kidding.

No protests, no news stories, no nothing.  It's horrifying.

It's no joke, she's serious, man.  The university is withholding basic humanitarian aid.

I can already see the Leadership Meeting for the next protest/building takeover:

"Uh, guys, this time let's take over the food court, instead of the library, okay?"

I'm trying to learn more on this.

Historically, Jews have been persecuted, isolated and relegated. Probably more than any other religion.

Why was Israel formed after WWI? Is that where the Jews in Europe wanted to be? Did the Brits just pick that area?

I don't know all of that history, but I want to.

you can thank the British Empire for the screwing everything up and creating this horror show shitshow that has ensued ever since.

The British were no different than the other insanely anti-semitic Christian nations of Europe, and their declaration of full-stop support of a Jewish nation dating back to 1917 with the Balfour Declaration was all just a highly anti-semitic ploy to get Jews out of Europe and establish a new colonizer settler nation thousands of miles away in foreign lands built on the back of European Jews immigrating to Palestine.

As for protests in relation to China....last I checked the US gov't isn't complicit in any war crimes or genocide the Chinese may or may not be committing. There are protests here in regards to Israel because the US gov't is DIRECTLY involved and complicit in said crimes and mass slaughtering of Palestinian children.

Of course it refers to the elimination of the Jews, that's why Hamas and other terrorist groups say it.

And that's why these protesters are repeating it.

You didn't ask whether or not they're being destructive, you claimed you'd only seen people with positive and peaceful messages and positive signs.  I'm responding directly to that-- supporting the genocide of Israel is neither peaceful nor positive.

For someone who has claimed to support neither side, you sure seem to support one side.
Yeah, no. It does not explicitly refer to the elimination of the Jews just because Hamas co-opted a similar slogan. Saying so doesn't make it so and is nothing but talking point propaganda to distract and misdirect the attention away from the very real horrors that the Palestinians have been living under for decades- not just the last 6 months.

I support one thing in this entire ordeal and one thing only, the rights of the Palestinian people to have self-determination, their own state, and the freedom from occupation and the right not to be brutally occupied and slaughtered by Israel- an occupation that has been ongoing for nearly 60 fcking years.

Lulz you live in a dreamland.

Sure, none of these college protestors are aligned to Hamas.  None at all.

Another complicating factor is that the Gaza Strip is a geopolitical phone booth. 24 miles long and 6 miles across, with a population density somewhere between New York and Seoul.
Also worth noting, most of the rest of the Arab world wants nothing to do with Gaza. Palestinians are also problem children in that space as well.

There are many saying the phrase "from the river to the sea" which directly refers to the elimination and eradication of all Jews and the Israeli state.  47 of the 63 "protesters" arrested at UT yesterday were not students.  This isn't the 60s and these aren't peaceful hippie sit-ins.

To be fair, I think that’s more indirect than direct.

Palestine is given all the money and food and meds.....but the good people there never see any of it.  No one else has needed to oppress the innocent Palestinians, their own "leadership" already do it.
