Defund the thing, or fire everyone and start over. A taxpayer-funded "news" outlet needs to be completely unbiased.

My take is that every "news outlet" needs a clientel, at least it's preferable.  Some cater to the right, some to the left, others cater to special interests (business channels for example).  NPR caters to one of those groups, if they didn't, they probably not have many listeners.

Half the country is paying for something they wouldn't listen to in this case. Out of 87 employees at NPR, there are 87 registered Democrats.

I don't want to pay for that, let alone listen/read/hear about it.

Trim the fat. They can go "work" elsewhere.

Supposedly, only like 7% of their funding is Federal, or so they say during fund raising.  I used to think that wasn't much, they could cut that out and just pay a bit less or whatever, have an occasional ad (which they do anyway).
