I think folks who used terms like rich and wealthy should be required to define same.

Yeah, I'm now trying to figure out where to purchase a vacation home.

I mean, I rent my current house, so I don't actually own a home. But a vacation home sounds fun!

And I mean, my wife and I work and so we don't actually have "extended periods of time" to spend in exotic locales, OR the vacation home we don't own.

But why let any of that stop me? The web site says I'm rich, so I need a vacation home!

It does, until you figure out that you have to go to it all the time to justify the $$$ it costs. Talk to me about the boat we had on Lake Michigan (a vacation home that moved a lot). We went every weekend - sometimes even if we didn't want to go - to justify the cost, in our minds.

I disagree with the premise that the "rich" look to buy vacation homes.

The wealthy buy vacation homes, and don't care if they sit empty 50 weeks out of the year.

Yup.  Vacation homes are for the wealthy.

After I buy that Port Royal joint, I'll be looking at additional vacation homes in Nice, Switzerland, and Bora Bora.

my financial guy asked me if I wanted a winter place in Texas or Florida

This was a few years ago
I assumed he wanted me to give him more $$$ to invest to make it happen.

I said, Nah, I'd settle for a red sports car

OK, how should we determine what they deserve?

I figure if I ran a business and could hire women to do the SAME JOB as men for 80% of the lay, I'd hire ONLY women.

I can't imagine any larger business who pays women less for he same work.  It makes no sense, and where I worked of course, being a woman was a major advantage in terms of promotion.

If I had to choose, I'd probably go with zinfandel, but beer is better I think.  Maybe Champage would pair with Coneys, or 4 ways.
