It shouldn't. It should step the hell out and let the kids fight in their sandbox.
Agree. No need for us to be involved in that. Israel, though an ally who could potentially be embroiled in conflicts I'd say the US does have an interest and obligation to help them, is more than capable of dealing with this without any help from us.
It just sucks when I see people demeaning them for rooting out murderers they have finally--FINALLY--had enough of, after repeated terrorist attacks spanning decades, each one of which afterwards Israel magnanimously did
not wipe Gaza from the map, but instead gave them resources, food, electricity, etc.
This pansy bs attitude would look at Hitler in WWII and say "Well gee, if France and Poland and the Jews would just quit pissing Hitler off, this would all stop. Let's tell them to knock if off. Because peace, and stuff."
"Oh, but Hitler was a military leader and head of state who encroached in other sovereign terrories and sought to take them over."
Yeah, exactly like Hamas. I wonder, did the Allies liberate Poland and France and say that's enough, no need to risk anymore civilians, or did they go into Germany and deal with the problem?
We live in a time when most people can't fathom ideologies of hate, and evil, and so whoever is doing the shooting at the moment is unpalatable and they must need to quit. We can't get our heads around entities that want to harm, and for whom no olive branches extended will ever pacify. In utopia, committing to not militarizing against something/someone pans out. In reality, unfortunately it doesn't.
