I've mentioned before that my wife's closest friend is rich, by whatever definition. And she has a lot of problems in her life, not because she has money, it's just life. We don't see her that often, but she calls about weekly and they talk for an hour, I usually get a synopsis. She has two sons who are really nice guys, I spent some time with them at their fazenda. She has staff, which is one aspect of being rich. My wife commented once that she's very happy with our situation, but one thing she'd like to have if a chef to fix dinners every night. (I actually fix dinner about half the time.)
Anyway, I personally am "content". I wouldn't mind having more money, as Badge notes, but we get by. My kids will probably get a nice inheritance because I'm pretty conservative with spending. And I actually "earned" more after I retired than I was getting paid in many years. And I made like $100 on book sales last year.
