Can’t tell if it was East-West jet lag that had my sleep off in Ca, or if it’s west-east jet lag that led to an accidental nap on the couch.

Either way, I’ll tell myself all sleep is healthy and soldier on.

The Eyes of Freedom Memorial (visitcasper.com)

Don't know if anyone is out that way,  this is a pretty neat exhibit.

I learned to ignore such forecasts.  Some of them will be right, but randomly.

Dems control the Senate, House, & White House.

They can push to pass legislation guaranteeing abortion rights. They won’t.

Pelosi is currently funding Dems in races that are pro-life/anti-abortion. If she cared so much about Roe v Wade and abortion rights- why is she doing this?

I think Manchin (and if needed Sinema) control the Senate, to a large degree.

The stock market is poised for a strong 2nd half of 2022 as the US economy avoids a recession and inflation gets cut in half, JPMorgan says (msn.com)
I sure hope that’s the case.

Removing every and all sanction on Russia and ending this psychotic proxy war in Ukraine- which is nothing but full scale looting and embezzling $55 billion from the American tax payer- and winning back the Saudis and getting them to play ball would sure help cool inflation pretty quickly.

President Geriatric Shits-his-pants Falls off his bicycle forgets where he’s at ice cream eating f**kstick just pulls those two things off and we just might avoid a recession. I have zero confidence though to be honest.

Prepare for "mostly peaceful" protests starting NOW.

What else would you expect?

In a weeks time, SCOTUS has ruled:

1) States are required to fund private religious schools.

2) Police can't be sued for not reading your rights.

3) States need not provide medical care that could exonerate prisoners.

4) Expanded rights to carry weapons without a permit.

5) Federal rights to abortion are no more.

Conservatives whine constantly about the possibility of liberals stacking the court, which never happened.  Yet conservatives have done just that.  At this point it's obviously a political court and should be mandated equal party representation.

The erosion of separation of church and state is particularly worrisome, and I'll leave it at that to avoid any further religious debate.

Not taking steps to exonerate the innocent is absolutely disgusting.  But hey, this is a country that has for profit prisons.  "Land of the Free" my ass.

I agree with you on all these fronts. Supreme Court has turned into an extremely politicized kangaroo court. Every one of those 5 things is complete and utter horse shit.

Even RBG stated that R v W was flawed from the start. This is not a political decision. The is a decision based on the Constitution, which guarantees power to the States. R v W has nothing to do with A14. That is why it was overturned.

A2 guarantees with right to bear arms (legally). This is also a Constitutional decision.

As far as abortion is concerned, I've been pretty clear on my position. It is a choice, and I believe in most states you can still obtain one if that is your choice. It wouldn't be my choice, but your choice is none of my f'ing business.
