:043:

There were widespread expectations that the correspondents’ dinner would worsen the spread of Covid as more than 2,500 attendees crammed into a massive hotel ballroom. “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah, the evening’s comedic host, joked about the likelihood that many in attendance would contract Covid.

“It is my great honor to be speaking tonight at the nation’s most distinguished super-spreader event,” Noah said.
“Like, do you read any of your own newspapers? I mean, I expect this from Sean Hannity. But the rest of you? What are you doing here? You guys spent the last two years telling everyone the importance of wearing masks and avoiding large, indoor gatherings. Then the second someone offers you a free dinner, you all turn into Joe Rogan, huh?”

I don't see either one benefitting from that partnership.  I also don't think geography matters.  Trumpers are Trumpers.  He needs someone to get back those suburban white women he lost.  Marsha Blackburn?
if he runs again he definitely needs to tone it down a notch or two and pick a woman who can connect with the suburban white women as his VP. And if I were advising him- I'd tell him to pick a high profile woman from GA, MI, WI, PA or AZ that could help get that state.

Speaking of upside down Longhorns...

damn....both those tweets are nuts....Texas keeps making bad hires. Mack Brown was over the hill and probably needed to retire, but g*d damn Charlie Strong, Tom Herman, and Steve Sarkisian were some awful hires. As much as I can't stand Jim Harbaugh anymore, I'm glad he didn't leave for the Vikings. Holy shit. Things could always be worse. Stick with the devil you know....

Tim Scott is my choice for the R nomination.

I'd rather DeSantis stay here, and see Florida eliminate term limits for the Governor.

hahaha. I'd be down for that. Florida has never fared better as a state than under his leadership. He's too good though and too many g*d damn people are moving here now because of that fact.

I do not understand Texas football - at all.  The above is astonishing to me.  I get that it's coaching, OK, fine, but even a modestly decent coach should do pretty well there.
yeah, it's pretty astonishing to me as well. Texas has to have a major booster problem and they just keep striking out on their coaching hires. They hit a home run on the coaching hire- that program will be right back near the top like they were under Mack before he started to teeter off of course.

If UT were to somehow be able to steal Dave Aranda... Look out.

Nice spin.

Let's have some places remove the choice of the individual.
Yeah, it's like allowing people to choose what their neighbors can do, I mean choose what they want!
yeah, except it's not really spin. I'd rather Roe v. Wade not be overturned....but Roe v Wade is a court case/decision, it's not law. The constitution never said a single word about abortion. If the court overturns it's earlier decision- then it would be up to the people to vote for Senators and House of Reps. who will pass a federal law banning the government from being involved in abortion.

I do think there should be a law on the books at the federal level that basically says that any government- federal or state- cannot ban abortion or be involved in abortion decisions. I don't know why they've never done this to be honest.

I think he'd crush it at Texas as well, but he's got a cushy gig at Baylor. Texas going to the SEC is going to make that job even harder now. My guess is that job is one of the toughest there is bc of the boosters and the pressure they put on a coach and the meddling they do. Now they are going from probably the easiest conference there is out there to the toughest conference there is.

I do.

It became a political football, with both sides using it against each other.

By the way...

Guess who voted against Roe V Wade in 1981, when he was a Senator from Delaware?

per ESPN:

There were 32 players drafted who attended Texas high schools. None of them played for the Longhorns.

I think UT and OU are both gonna regret their move.

They should have gone West - or stayed where they were.

agree 100%.

They should've tried to force their way into the PAC and they could've dominated that conference. Lincoln Riley's USC is just going to be OU with better skill players on offense- he still isn't going to play any defense.

I am curious to see how Quinn Ewers is going to do at Texas. Kid was about as hyped as it gets. He was the #1 QB and #1 HS player in the entire nation for the 2022 class according to all the 'crootin' services- he then reclassified to the 2021 class and maintained that #1 QB and #1 player status. Something you just don't really ever see. He's the most hyped recruit from the state of Texas since Vince Young.

Dave Chappelle attacked on stage late last night in Hollywood by a man with a gun and knife when he was performing at a Netflix comedy event. Jamie Foxx rushed on the stage to help subdue the criminal and they were able to pin him down while security and police got rid of him. Thank GOD it was not worse. Chappelle was not injured and he was able to finish the set.

Probably some left wing tranny whack job. Hope they give that scumbag the death penalty. But it’s California, so they’ll probably give him/her or it an award and $900 a month.

Will Smith is not without blame. One of the biggest celebrities in the world just normalized this sort of despicable behavior. If I’m Chris Rock I’m suing Will Smith today for $200 million like Jim Carey suggested.
