Ohio State's run over roughly the last decade is literally one of the best in the history of cfb. You can’t get too worried about things like that.
Someone has to recruit with them.  This just came out a couple of days ago,  Mich and Penn St. are not very close to OSU.

I came here to post pretty much exactly this. At this point the chance that Frost is going to show anything the rest of this year to justify keeping him is vanishingly small.

Last year they got boat raced by Illinois at home. This year it was a one score loss on the road.

I don't think you can fire a guy after one game, when it was a tremendous improvement over their previous performance in that particular series.

I don't know what to make of Nebraska. The results have been bad, but Frost was the first coach they hired in a while who actually had other options. They might want to look at other things in the program, like why do they seem to go through so many guys. They need playmakers on the edge, yet Wandale Robinson left, Tyjon Lindsey left, J.D. Spielman left - why?

Last years performance against Illinois was completely unacceptable for any Nebraska fan but upsets happen. Losing AGAIN to Illinois is borderline unforgivable.

The fact that the loss was closer is completely irrelevant. Nebraska obviously wants to be a program that only loses to crappy teams like Illinois once in a great while as a fluke.

Martinez hasn't shown he can be a good QB - unfortunately Frost is loyal and hitched his wagon to Adrian when he recruiting Martinez.  This ran off other recruits and the other guys on the roster.  The Frosh behind Martinez aren't going to be better THIS season.

Same with canning Frost, this will not make anything better this season.

Gonna have to ride it out and try to find other/better options for next season

dumping Frost or Martinez tomorrow does nothing positive for the program

Apparently a fake school from Ohio convinced ESPN to televise their game against IMG today

Yeah, I was watching and it was 21-0 in the 1st quarter.  The OH team's guard's helmet came off and had to sit out a play, but I don't think they had a backup or someone ready to run in, so they had to burn a timeout.
.
Apparently a 5-min google search would have exposed the school.  Good job, ESPN.

I saw this on Twitter today. I'm a casual fan of central Ohio high school football, and I've never heard of them. Apparently they aren't technically part of Ohio high school football.

And again, about a radical change to the offense, it makes sense because your defense isn't good.  Your team isn't very good overall, right?  If you're going to be behind more than you're ahead and your QB's rating is going to be like 115.0, passing the ball is just going to get your defense out there more.

I get it, switching to the old-timey Osborne option offense would be radical, but you're Scott Frost.  Everyone runs the shotgun read-option.  You can't come up with some hybrid?  Or a Nevada-type of pistol kind of thing....something.

Aside from someone at ESPN needing to get fired, IMG played this team last year, too.
Why is the best football school in the country doing that???

Well, it is IMG - it's not so much a high school and more a venture capitalist subversion of the system. I doubt they care, as long as they are on ESPN

I'm not sure why someone would get fired. It's kinda dumb and looks bad in a one-day story kind of way. But it's a channel that used to show all manor of things. The best recruited football school in the country wasting its time is filler like anything else.

My understanding is that ESPN puts together the high school games they air.  It's not like they just sift through the normal Friday night lights, and pick out the best games. I don't think a team from Ohio is traveling down to play a team from Florida without ESPN footing part of the bill, right?

I mean the team just played a team from near Pittsburgh 2 days ago

Yeah, let's hang onto the most incompetent employees we have.  Good plan.
