Yeah that's a bummer.  Most of the teams that have a history of performing well in the postseason, keep their facilities' schedules clear for potential regionals and super-regionals.

Stanford it is, so the super regional pairings are now set.

I was hoping they'd win, games against them are always super-charged due to the rivalry, and when the stakes are a trip to Omaha?  Man that would have been fun.  I'm open this weekend, I'd have very likely attended, at either College Station or Austin.

Anyway, it is what it is.  Gotta go beat the tree in Palo Alto instead.

I would have rather watched Horns/Aggies
that would have been a priority

I doubt that I'll see the Stanford series

Carolina swept Florida in Columbia earlier this year.  Let's see how things go in Gainesville this time.

Carolina has been weird. Just rolled early, then got incinerated by injuries and limped down the stretch. Healthier, they rolled in the regional. But it's a program that hasn't won in this round since their best coach's swan song over a decade ago (only been this far three times since).

No idea what to expect.

.
Gators' pitcher Hurston Waldrep goes 8 IP with 13 Ks as Florida shuts out USCe.

TCU athletics has come a long way since their 90/2000s purgatory as an afterthought in the WAC/CUSA/MWC. A consistently ranked football program advancing into the CFB Playoffs, a Basketball program that wins tournament games, and a Baseball program that's advanced to 5 World Series since 2014.

edit:

TCU is first ever school to play in the College Football Playoff, NCAA Basketball Tournament, and College World Series in the same year:

Meh, I'll stick with being one of 3 schools to win a NC in football, baseball, and basketball.....and having done it in the past 20 years.
UM and OSU did it back in the old days.

Wake Forest and LSU are going to Omaha.

Bracket 2 in Omaha is full:  Florida, Virginia, TCU, and Oral Roberts.

We're just waiting on Texas/Stanford and Tennessee/So. Miss to round it out.
