The 'this campus' girls vs that campus' girls' argument is fruitless.

I see you've never been to West Lafayette...

I visited Auburn once when a friend was getting married there. I looked at my fellow Boilermaker who was there with me and said "we went to the wrong frickin' school."

I think I ran into as many Purdue male students as Indiana male students at parties in Bloomington, for a good reason.

On coeds and maps:

Every school has an insanely high % of hotties on campus.  The fat states are poor, and the poor have the most kids, and when you have a bunch of kids, you get fat.  When they're 20, they're angels...by 35, they're fatties.

If I were to be critical of 'Sconnie" or "Minny" or some other midwest hottie population, it would be their paleness.  Not all, please don't suggest that.  But on the whole, on the average, those places that are freezing for 3+ months a year are going to be less tan than those that are never or rarely freezing.

When I imagine a coed from Wisconsin, she's fit, beautiful, and very white.  Not good or bad, just pale.  I prefer a tan chick, but a pale one can just as easily be a 10.

The 'this campus' girls vs that campus' girls' argument is fruitless.

I'm glad that the pale ones aren't heavily sought after.

All the more for me.

Not a big fan of the AU football fan base.  Sure, it has some good ones, but it has more than its share of the classless and clueless types.

That said, Auburn flies under the radar when it comes to academics (especially engineering).  It's not all *that* far behind Purdue and Georgia Tech academically, but gets hardly any benefit of the doubt because it's in the SEC as opposed to the ACC or B1G.

I agree with Wisconsin.. After I posted this topic, I thought I should have asked, who is 2nd best in the West.

I added University of Dubuque because it is halfway between Iowa City and Madison, and my daughter enrolled there. For those who thought the west was really bad, I figured someone would select UD, but c'est la vie. UD is worse at football than the BTW.

Is this kind of a reverse survivor.  First you vote for 1st place,  throw the winner out of the next poll and then vote for 2nd, throw the winner out and vote for 3rd, etc.

The real question is once you get down to just Purdue, Illinois and Dubuque, then who do you vote for 6th place?

after the badgers,........ the next group is probably a toss up between Northwestern and Iowa  - two proven coaches.  Northwestern with the nod because of veteran QB

then, do you believe in Mike Riley or PJ Fleck?

Riley in his 3rd season gets the nod for me

I thought it was interesting that both Neb and Minn got more votes than Iowa in the pre-season coaches poll and this friendly little poll too.  So the coaches at least see more Top 25 potential in tbe Huskers and Gophers than this year's Hawkeyes.

Looks like just about everybody thinks this is going to be a rebuilding year for Iowa.

Iowa has somehow secured two offseason recruits with experience, so I would elevate the Hawkeyes to 4th, and de-elevate Minnesota to 5th. Nebraska is 3rd. NU is 2nd.

Illinois, Purdue and Dubuque are mired together in last. :(
