Wisky... UNL was in worse shape than many wanted to admit or will admit.  In addition to just having 1 LB on scholarship when Riley arrived, the OL had more in common with Oregon than UNL lines of old (in terms of size) and lacked quality at TE and DE.   In fact, UNL had an OC who said the TE was an outdate position in CF, yet the huskers still had a TE coach and recruited run blockers... for a spread offense.   The vision was not translated into action under bo.   Further, UNL fans are impatient and Riley has not shown he's the guy to fix the program, yet.  He might be, but still an unknown.   Bad combo..

There are a lot of good things going on in the program right now.  Eric Crouch was at practice and said the team is finally looking like a BIG10 team.  They look bigger and there are more athletes on the field.   That credit goes to Riley.   Now, can his coaches avoid losses to teams like Illinois and start closing the gap on the east powers....????  If strides are not made this year, I'm not sure UNL fans will allow him to coach in 2019.     Which does imply a new AD after 2018.

The campus is on Lake Mendota. It's really pretty.

Wisconsin has >>> Great Lakes frontage. So, winner (I'm a big Great Lakes guy - bias). Both are great for inland lake fishing, in my opinion. Makes no difference to me.

Lots of the country is too fat. I include myself in that club.

Too much good food and WAY too much good booze.

Coeds wouldn't be the first thing that comes to mind with Sconnie, as they frequently win the title for being the heftiest state.

Nebraska seems to do pretty well in the coed dept as far as I can tell, with a shout out to the Illini.

Wisconsin also is by FAR the most alcohol-consuming state, so I trust they think they have the best coeds. Beer goggles and all.

On coeds and maps:

Every school has an insanely high % of hotties on campus.  The fat states are poor, and the poor have the most kids, and when you have a bunch of kids, you get fat.  When they're 20, they're angels...by 35, they're fatties.

If I were to be critical of 'Sconnie" or "Minny" or some other midwest hottie population, it would be their paleness.  Not all, please don't suggest that.  But on the whole, on the average, those places that are freezing for 3+ months a year are going to be less tan than those that are never or rarely freezing. 

When I imagine a coed from Wisconsin, she's fit, beautiful, and very white.  Not good or bad, just pale.  I prefer a tan chick, but a pale one can just as easily be a 10.


The 'this campus' girls vs that campus' girls' argument is fruitless.
