Miami takes a pair of personal would to lose the game at Virginia.

Wisconsin is awful. But they will probably still win the West.

The schedule sets up okay for Iowa I suppose, getting Penn St at home while Wisconsin has to play them on the road.
I don’t think Wisconsin is awful at all.  Give credit to the Wolverines. They have played extremely well on offense and defense, using both muscle and speed. They choked the life out of the Badgers over time.
Plus, road games in conference are HARD, and against a really good team even HARDER, plus at night—exceedingly HARD.

awful is my usual hyperbole. Rutgers is awful.

Wisconsin is good by B1G West standards, but would not fare very well in the B1G East, imo.

Wisconsin eerily resembles Maryland this year.

This looks very similar to our game last week at Michigan.
There are some similarities. And though it's hard to say whether UW deserves a ranking this high, and though their competition has been mediocre, I do think they are on a different level than UMds.
Similarity: Both have explosive run games. Difference: forgive me, but UW's is far more durable/reliable (impossible to put under Michigan's thumb).
They are also very similar on defense.
The QBs are very different, though. Hornibrook is actually great - one of the Big Ten's best. But Michigan is by far the best pass defense in america. They're ruining Alex in a major way. By design.

Ah, I could have beat Michigan.

RPO with Piggy and WR screens are Don Brown's nightmare. I know this.  He was OUR DC at one time.

The offense only moved when Piggy got in the game.

When it's his time, McCaffery will be fun.

I can agree with you all the up to talking about how good Hornibrook is..  I just don’t see that.

Going into this he had been arguably (but not necessarily: bc Haskins) the most efficient QB in the conference. He's low usage but had maximally capitalized on those few tries. What he did against Iowa, for example. That was cold-blooded and had been his whole year ... until tonight. This was a mismatch.

Whether Michigan wins out until OSU or loses in between, the best remaining question is how Michigan's pass D will match versus Haskins. It could potentially be #1 nationally v. #1 nationally.

While you weren't watching, Miami went full Miami today.

2 min left. UVA 17 Miami 14. Miami stops UVA on 3rd down. Then out of nowhere about 2 sec after the whistle a player from Miami steamrolls a UVA player from behind. PI 1st down.

This is a big win for Michigan. I didn't think that they would win this one before the season started.

I still think the Sparty game will trip them up next week. They'll be high off of their press clippings, and MSU will play like it's their Super Bowl.

Penn St might be in trouble, heading into the Big House.
