I get being conservative, but man, throwing on third down and short and then punting from there is some Strom Thurmond levels of conservative

Honestly not sure why Wiscy is throwing at all
Because now that it's predictable, assuming it stays predictable, it's over. They can still gash, but the box is stacked against them. That's not how Michigan usually plays. Usually they read. Right now, they're crashing. That's a schematic disadvantage for UW.

Wow, pass/punt on 3rd and 3 down 14 in UM territory?  Not a fan of UWs management of much tonight
Weird when Michigan isn’t stopping runs.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

Sure, but they are running the ball well, even against the loaded box.  Hell of a lot better than they are throwing it.

I agree. But they need a huge chunk. It's unrealistic to move down the field in 2-7 yard chunks against this defense. 5-7 is great. That realistic potential isn't the problem. It's the variance against a newly stacked box that is the issue. All it takes is two out of three snaps on the low end to force a punt. That's ... not improbable. UW has this incredible strength but is stuck not able to fully deploy it like they want.

I know they'll just be 3-3 but the schedule has been crazy hard and ISU deserves to be ranked after this.

This is a straight up beatdown, and really it should be like 44-7 right now.

So now the B1G West title runs through Penn State?

That's kind of funny.

It's 11-minutes from finished. But yes that's one potential implication.

Sure, but the problem is they aren't going down the field, so even if they complete these passes they wouldn't get much yardage.  Also all their chunks have come in the run game.

Ole Hornibrook isn't going to have too many completions that go over 20 yards down the field in the air tonight.
pick 6 on Horny-book.

Wisconsin eerily resembles Maryland this year.

This looks very similar to our game last week at Michigan.

Wisconsin is awful. But they will probably still win the West.

The schedule sets up okay for Iowa I suppose, getting Penn St at home while Wisconsin has to play them on the road.

Good to see the shaky camera at Jack Trice Stadium remains a staple.

I'm not vehemently disagreeing. Just pointing out how stuck. Like on this drive. Variance is what's forcing the 4th. And the runs are killing the clock. Double whammy.
