Good game for 3 quarters. Purdue just isn't there yet. The offense needs some fine tuning, and more of Brohms recruits to get going. The Michigan front 7 was too much. I'm a bit surprised Purdue didn't try to establish a run, but I doubt it would change the outcome.
Both those targeting calls were complete bullshit. They wouldn't change the outcome of the game, but the score wouldn't have been as bad. On the first, Thieneman clearly lead with his shoulder, and the Michigan WR ducked into the hit. There is absolutely nothing he could do. It was not intentional, and not targeting. The second was even worse. Bentley clearly pulled up and tried to disengage. The contact was made with his forearms. What a load of shit. We now lose 2 starters. UM doesn't get a walk in score up the middle with Bentley in. The rule needs to go. Referees should not have that much influence on a game.
