There were a few questionable calls and non-calls that I remember happening but not the details. Of the ones I remember was the Husker linebacker being called for "disconcerting signals" or something like that at one point. The LB was clapping to dick with Michigan QB's clapping and trying to get the OL to move early. This should/could have been called a couple other times IMO. On the fateful fumble late in the game Martinez was still making forward progress when he was stripped of the ball. I know a lot of Nebraska fans have been bitching about that one...that the refs should have blown the whistle to end the play.
after watching the game in 60 minutes........
LB definitely clapped and caused the Michigan guard to flinch. LB was called the defense and I don't think it was intentional, but it was a good call by the ref.
Martinez fumble late, don't know if he was still going forward, but he wasn't going backwards and he wasn't stopped for more than a split second. I don't have a problem with the call. of the timing of the whistle.
one I noticed, on the bad spot on 3rd down that Harbaugh called the timeout to have reviewed.... there was a flag for illegal formation - obviously five offensive players in the backfield. no reason to pick up the flag. could have been 3rd and long with no need for a bad spot. but, it was a bad spot and a first down.
you don't get all the official's stuff on the 60 minute replay, but I don't think the officials decided the game one way or another.
6 penalties accepted by each team, 2 for 1st downs by each team.
