something apparently about Stroud puking his guts out and Hickman being injured. any OSU people heard anything at all?
Birmington on Letterman Row has said no traction but it's a suscribe site.Someone on 11 Warriors coughed up after peeking behind the paywall

Just because I bothered to calculate, points per red zone trip:

Michigan 5.11
Ohio State 5.48

Eventually this stat will catch on.

I have been clamoring for that forever.  And extending it out to the 30.  I think one of my earliest posts on the CFN boards was after the 2002 UM-OSU game, how UM got inside the OSU 35 five times, and got 9 points out of it; while OSU got inside Michigan's 35 twice, and punched in two TDs

Bill Connelly does this for inside the 40.

ESPN Game Day's guest celebrity game picker will be comedian Sebastian Maniscalco. Barely familiar with him. Can't get Dave Portnoy or Charles Woodson or someone affiliated with Michigan in any way? C'mon ESPN.

This is a MUCH better stat than the usual % because the % treats FG's and TD's as equals.  If a team was 100% with all FG's that % is MUCH better than either tOSU's or M's but obviously their points per is 3 which is MUCH worse.

for as much is made about the state of Ohio having more HS football talent than Michigan- which it obviously does...most of OSU's starters are...well...not from Ohio.

QB - CJ Stroud - California
RB - TreVeyeon Henderson - Virginia
WR - Chris Olave - California
WR - Garrett Wilson - Texas
WR - Jaxon Smith-Njigba - Texas
TE - Jeremy Ruckert - New York
LT - Nicholas Petit-Frere  - Florida
LG - Thayer Munford - Ohio
C  - Luke Wypler - New Jersey
RG - Paris Johnson Jr. - Ohio
RT - Dawand Jones - Indiana

DE - Zach Harrison - Ohio
DT - Haskell Garrett - Nevada
NT - Antuwan Jackson - Georgia
DE - Tyreke Smith - Ohio
WILL - Steele Chambers - Georgia
MIKE - Cody Simon - New Jersey
BULL - Ronnie Hickman - New Jersey
CB - Denzel Burke - Arizona
CB - Sevyn Banks - Florida
FS - Bryson Shaw - Maryland
CS - Craig Young - Indiana

2 on offense and 2 on defense- both at LOS positions.

Michigan has 1 starter on offense (LT Ryan Hayes) from the state of Michigan, and 4 on defense (OLB/DE Aidan Hutchinson, NT Mazi Smith, ILB Josh Ross, and CB Vincent Gray).

There are 44 starters on these units between the two teams. Only 9 are from Michigan/Ohio, roughly 20%. Which means 80% of the starting players in this game aren't even from these states or really know what it means to the people of these two states.

Also: kind of makes me think it really doesn't matter how much talent you have in your state if you can recruit nationally. Not exactly like Bama has stock-piles of HS talent in their state. Ever since Saban has been there they recruit nationally and get whoever the hell they want from whatever state they want.

Temperature at kickoff should be in the low 30s with 5 mph wind. Wind chill in the mid-20s.  Maybe some snow flurries.  Hope Californian Stroud dresses warm.

Dave portnoy sucks, and works for a rival company. Woodson I like,  but also works for a rival company.

Maniscalco was a worthless picker. Had about as much CFB knowledge as Katy Perry. And he's not even from Michigan nor was a student there.

should've asked Bill Burr. He's a diehard Michigan fan. And way funnier than whoever the hell that guy was.
