I was surprised in Cincinnati that folks would ask what high school I attended.  They assumed I was from there, usually, because many were.  When I said "Tucker" they'd be confused.  They had a big "east side:west side" schism.

Who do you think is decent surprise pick to make the playoffs? 

Not sure if Michigan qualifies, but they have an adult as a head coach and should be able to run the heck out of the ball and play some defense.

Definitely a unique thing about Cincinnati.  Where you went to High school was a big deal.  I was from Columbus and still surprise me how much High School, East side/West side mattered.
