kirby needs to do what saban did few years back and unleash the offense. kirby, like saban, will rarely if ever have a bad defense, but the game has changed and even a great defense can't stop great offenses the whole game anymore. not for a whole season. gotta have both.

uga is typically more adept at getting high quality qb's, though bama/saban have been highly successful at that as well the last 3-5 years. but uga has always had good qb's come to play for them, so should only help them transition.

I'm not sure how UGA could "unleash the offense" more than they have.  They do pass the ball, perhaps not enough.  This hinges of course in your QB, WRs, and OL.

When you have good RBs and get a lead over mediocre teams, it makes sense to me to run a lot.  I do think that doesn't work against elite teams.  I still don't see UGA getting into shoot outs like Bama did a few times this past season, but they have Bryce Young.

With UGA's WR injuries the past few years, they've done what they had to do.  That FR TE was a godsend.  

UGA has signed more 5* QBs the past 5 years than anyone else, and I think it's like double anyone else.  But they all also leave Athens to go elsewhere, so there's that.

Smart simply needs to keep those guys between the hedges.

Kind of a big day tomorrow.  

If Napier gets Florida's class into the top 20 from where it was when he was hired, Florida won't be down for long.

247 had UF's team talent at 7th last season.  I think they have been recruiting top 20 or higher for a while.  They were at 9 in 2020.  I don't expect they will be down for long either though.

It was a one off season, not a trend.

all those kids aren't moving up north

don't need them all. just a handful. Ohio State has been recruiting Florida at a high level since Tressel. Urban just kicked it into a higher gear - like he does everywhere he goes except the NFL apparently - and Day has for the most part sustained Urban's recruiting in Florida.

great thing about Florida kids - even the 5* and 4* ones - they'll go anywhere. very small percentage have any kind of loyalty to the state schools. ain't like it is at Ohio State where every god damn Ohio kid lives and dies and dreams of Ohio State or USC where every god damn LA kid automatically goes to USC- when they have even a halfway competent coach in place that is.

Top 20 isn't good enough in the SEC.  If you're 20th in the country, you're likely 8th or 9th in the conference.

19th is a far cry from 50th and recruiting classes tend to be low in HC transition years...which is why many of them get a "pass." 

UF's 22 class went from "shit sandwich" to "trending in the right direction."  That's all.
