Since just before Alvarez is when it got consistently good, but lately they just churn them out.

After this week, they will have had 10 LB's drafted since 2014 (Borland), plus a few UDFA kids.

That's really, really impressive.  Penn State has only total 4-7 linebackers in the NFL (depending on free agency), which is as low of a number as I can remember.

Fortunately, I think there are at least 3 sure-fire NFL linebackers on the PSU roster.

Penn State Defensive Tackle Damion Barber has decided to transfer.  He's a former 4 star recruit, but was seemingly passed up on the depth chart and wasn't going to receive as much playing time as he was probably hoping for.

This one hurts a bit.  He is a redshirt junior and has experience and talent.  It is likely he would receive more playing time as a senior, especially if PJ Mustipher decides to turn pro early.  Penn State doesn't have the depth at DT they have at the other defensive positions, either.

By my count, PSU is still one scholarship above the limit.

UW also had 42, and Ohio State had 49. I'm not sure what this PSU thinking is all about.

I think they mean for themselves. Like PSU has never won more than 42 games in four years since 1994.

Which makes it a stupid graphic.

Very misleading then. They should pull it and fix it.

I never even considered it might refer to others.  haha

Obviously anOSU has more wins than PSU.  Kinda surprised UM doesn't....

QB Michael Johnson Jr. has entered the transfer portal.

He's a redshirt freshman and 4 star QB recruit.  He is extremely athletic, but apparently fell behind the other redshirt freshman 4 star recruit, Ta'quan Roberson.  This would have put him 4th on the depth chart with incoming 4* recruit Christian Veilleux coming in next year.

I have heard that he was a very good runner, but his passing game wasn't quite where it needed to be yet.

It always hurts to lose a highly ranked recruit as only a freshman, especially one talented enough that he could have easily made the switch to wide receiver.

This would be a very good pickup for a team in need of a QB.

This should put Penn State back at the 85 scholarship limit.
