I'm looking at a Utah/BYU doubleheader next fall, trying to study the schedules.   BYU loves themselves some Friday games.

I'd be shocked if MSU at ASU isn't a 10:30 est start.  But man the Herm Edwards experiment, this may be a sight to behold.

My only ASU reg season experience was a Thursday night game (Wedding rehearsal party) a few years ago, long tailgate, followed by UO at ASU 3 OT game,  man did we pay the price for that.

I've never been there. Is it nice?

I heard from some Badger fans that the bars in Provo ran out of beer. Like, all of them.
Salt Lake City and Provo may as well be in different states. And yes, SLC in my opinion is very nice. Hotels were reasonable, campus and stadium in a nice setting, good public transit (light rail), all near downtown too. I'd definitely recommend it.

I'd say go with Erin's idea of Tempe. Frog Face knows the place inside and out and will show a good time to all. Time for him to take charge and make it happen.

I need to stop skipping the sticky threads
Agreed. I skip them often. And I’ve always skipped the board meetings. I’m going to try to change that this year. We have little one #2 on the way in a few months so I figure Novemberish will be a needed break.
I’d like to put some faces to names.

well wasn't expecting that!   If Froggy wants to advise which game/dates are best for him, I'm all in for this and would welcome all members to join, previous appearances or brand new to the meet ups.

November 3, Arizona State v Utah? Gophers are on the road at Illinois, and Champaign is a place I've no interest in going to.

The marquee home game would be Michigan St but that is in September so I understand if y'all prefer November, and the game vs Utah is a solid choice.

Now however y'all wanna pregame I got connections. I can definitely find a tailgate that'd be willing to host us (and have food and booze) or I know a guy who owns one of the bars on Mill and I can see if he can help us secure some space to pregame there as well, it's easy walking distance to the stadium too.

Is that joint on the corner where we had lunch that one time still open, Frog Face?

As I've only lived back in the PHX area about 6 months now I've only made it to Mill just a few times and I don't recall seeing that place, but it's more than possible I simply missed it too. Long story short, I'm not sure.

Just checking. It was a good (cash only) joint.

With all the development going on around there lately, I'm thinking that may have been a casualty, given the value of the corner it sat on.

If the consensus is Tempe Nov 3 for Utah@ASU count me in. Am already expecting to be in Phoenix that weekend anyway. Thinking this is likely a noontime kickoff and we can do most of our beering afterward while watching the East Coast's 8pm kickoffs in the sports bars on Mill.
